There is a cafe and restaurant on the village square. A small port on the Canal.
If you walk downstream along the canal tow path towards Pont d'Ouche, you will pass the old cement factory which is closed. For many years the Origny cement factory was the center of life for the villagers, bringing employment and salaries. During WWII the Germans exploited the mines for the cement, but also stocked weapons and ammunitions in the tunnels (more than 30 miles in total).
