Lusigny-sur-Ouche
Description
Lusigny is the first village after the source of the river. Set in the steep sided slopes of the valley, surrounded by hills and forest, the village spreads across 1007 hectres at 379 metres above sea-level. Located 2 kilometres south West of Bligny sur Ouche and 20 kilometres from Beaune.
The village is very pretty and "sleepy" with small streets and bridges.
To see and do...
The 17th century castle is listed as a National Monument and a worth while visit. You should also see the village church dating from the 19th century as well as the source of the Ouche.
Take the time to visit the source of the river Ouche, the paths and tracks are delight for walkers.
